Do you feel like you struggle to make time for everything? We are living in a time-poor society, working more than ever and with less time for ourselves and family. The pressures and stress of the obligations we feel we have, often leave us without time to do everything that we would like to. More critically, we lack the time to reflect, review our lives and consider our direction. Time to contemplate if the decisions we are making are going to lead us to a life of purpose or an old age filled with regret. Time for Anything is based on 5 years of research by Craig D Robinson. Using the techniques in this book, Craig went from working in an entry level position to, in just four years: start 2 companies, recharge with 12 weeks holiday a year, start a family, grow and sell his startups and retire at the age of 34. This book shows you how you too can have time for it all.

They thought it couldn't happen to them in their sleepy little insignificant community quietly nestled in our nation's heartland, but it did. Imagine the tranquility and contentment of a rural Walden-type Midwest setting suddenly shattered by the intrusion of Islamic terrorists, with their conscription of illegal alien Mexican forces, as they attempt to launch stolen missiles and carry out a ruthless terrorist plot. The story has real significance due to all the present unrest regarding the many acts of terrorism being reported around the world. In this story, characters of contrasting lifestyles are revealed as the terrorist threat unfolds, a romance is rekindled, and a loved one succumbs of cancer. A handsome young hi-tech corporate executive, being transferred back to the area, and an attractive small town college instructor are the leading characters, supported by other strong characters in the roles of a retired judge, a retired history teacher, a retired minister, and a couple of Vietnam vets. After a few weeks of mysterious occurring events all mayhem breaks out in an Ozark national forest in the final chapters as the military and various Federal security agencies are deployed to defeat the threat and avoid a disaster of major national proportions. The action-filled scenes come alive with high-tech military weapons, surveillance equipment, and dialogue, as a local news helicopter is shot down by a shoulder-fired surface to air missile, and then escalates from there in the thoroughly engaging scenes that follow. The story however is much more than just a love story or military action thriller. It is a human interest story about maturing adults and how lives and perspectives naturally change during the normal life junctures. Some adult lifestyles are exciting, others mundane; from younger vigorous persons seeking romance and excitement to elders spending their last years in assisted living facilities and nursing homes. These various lifestyles and perspectives of the characters are dramatized throughout on common subjects ranging from religion to politics and including such other topics as historical accounts, life, death, and health social issues, and the environment. Nevertheless these are the routine lifestyles that are rudely interrupted as the personal life-storms and terrorist induced life-threatening circumstances come crashing down on them. Managing time is important but there is something even more important. That is, where you invest your time. There is no use of saving time when your time expenditure is in the wrong direction. What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can truly manage time (the clock), it is important to know where you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which direction you are headed (the compass). Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going. After you have set your priorities, then you can set out to find time for it. This is where time management comes into picture. There is time, hidden in the nooks and crevices of your day. If you have the will, you will find it. A person learned 3 languages by reading vocabulary cards while peeing. Normally a person spends 10-15 minutes a day doing this duty. There is nothing much that can be done in the loo anyway. Another person learned 2 new skills while waiting for his phone to be answered. Average time is close to 10 seconds before a call gets answered. Several minutes a day can be saved by keeping some information cards in the pocket which can be leafed through during this period. While taking shower, you can listen to an audio book. One person read over 50 books in 3 years while waiting for websites to load in his computer. Of course this was way back when internet was slow. But still it is slow in many countries. With the available technology, you can carry your office and library in your notebook computer or Ipad. A whole world has moved inside these electronic devices. Technology can be a great time waster or great time saver, it depends on you.

The Shenanigans of Time is an absorbing, vivid collection of interlocking stories. P. A. Chawla, reveals myriad emotions - the turmoil and transcendence of childhood, parenthood, sex and love – that shape immigrant lives. Whether it is the motelier Deven Shah and his deep seated desire to be embraced as the quintessential local only to be regarded as a foreigner by his own child, or Saya Sharma who fades in and out of her suburban life like a migratory bird, or the visiting Feroz grasping for a chance at domesticity with the volatile Rita, The Shenanigans of Time is ultimately a hymn of praise for the resilience of the human spirit and the desire for a place to call home. The author understands how families challenge and sustain their members. Lyrical, descriptive prose conjures the imagery … “And father and son plucked an hour out of time, to be savored then stored in the cool, dark cellar of memory marked Private Reserve.”
